Guitar Hero 5 is a music game released for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PS2. Guitar Hero 5 was published by Activision and developed by Neversoft (Xbox 360, PS3), Vicarious Visions (Wii), and BudCat (PS2). All official Guitar Hero hardware was created by RedOctane.

Guitar Hero 5 was released on September 1st, 2009 in the U.S. market, September 11th, 2009 in the EU market, and September 16th, 2009 in the AU market. The game is currently not available in the Japanese market.

Guitar Hero is back in the fifth installment in the popular franchise. This time you can customize how you play the game, you can have any combination of instruments to choose from. You can have multiple guitarists, bassists, drummers, and vocalists. The game also features a new Party Play mode too.

There are 85 songs by 83 artists. Some of the artists include; Johnny Cash (the man in black), Billy Idol, Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi,David Bowie, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Queen, Stevie Wonder, Santana, The Rolling Stones, and Tom Petty.

The following charts are currently available at the moment;
Guitar on Medium, Hard, and Expert modes,
Bass on Medium, Hard, and Expert modes,
Vocals for 360/PS3/Wii on Hard mode.
