We know we normally ask you for donations to help cover the server costs - but something more important has come up, and they need your help too.
If the headline didn't give it away, we are of course referring to the superb Childs Play charity initiative set up by the guys at Penny Arcade, purveyors of a higher quality of webcomic.
So we're asking you a favour - if you were planning on donating to Cyberscore, don't. Send it to Child's Play instead. Then forward us a copy of the donation receipt (minus any personal details if you want) and we will update the CS users donation total on the right hand side.
To make it extra difficult for you to give us money at the moment, we're going to pitch in ourselves by doing the following from now until the end of the drive:
- 90% of all donations received for Cyberscore will be sent to Child's Play
- 50% of all payments received for Cyberscore Hosting services (new and existing orders) will be sent to Child's Play
Just to bribe you even more, if the total donated to Child's Play by Cyberscore passes a landmark figure (haven't quite decided on it yet), Mikky will do something extra-amusing, for
your benefit. So you'll be giving to charity
and risking public humiliation for your benevolent overlord. Everybody wins!
So give the gift of gaming this Christmas.
